Type of turbo: Garrett GTX2863r .64

When does vehicle begin boost: around 1000rpm

When does vehicle reach full boost and what PSI: 5310RPM, 20PSI (hits 18PSI at 3800, boost control might need some work)

Does the vehicle have Cams? no

What brand:

What lift/duration etc:

Max power achieve at what boost: 221kw @ 20PSI, 6150RPM, 577nm @ 4800RPM

 

Tuned at MRC, 20deg ambient temp

Hey Varvs, do those 1150cc injectors and top feed rail fit underneath a strut brace? Do you have the nismo engine mounts? Wondering if that will fit for me, looks damn close haha.

Hey Varvs, do those 1150cc injectors and top feed rail fit underneath a strut brace? Do you have the nismo engine mounts? Wondering if that will fit for me, looks damn close haha.

Blitz cooler, haltech platinum pro plugin.

Type of turbo: GTX3076

When does vehicle begin boost: around 2000rpm

When does vehicle reach full boost and what PSI: 3800 17.5psi

Does the vehicle have Cams? poncams

What brand: tomei

What lift/duration etc: 256/256 11.5

Max power achieve at what boost: 256atw 17.5psi

Dynoed on a mid 30 degree day

 

Nice setup man. I'd be interested to see what it makes on 21psi

 

Yeah man cheers, got re-dynoed with fresh tune and new exhaust as the blitz rear muffler was very restricted, internal diameter wasn't even 2". Don't think just because your buying brand names they always work the best. I changed to a different tuner and made an additional 50kwatw with an additional 3psi, obviously there were other factors that resulted in the overall outcome, but I'm impressed with the results on 98 pump.

Ive had mine tuned 4 times at various stages of my car being developed over the last 7 years. Has been perfect every time.

Type of turbo: Garrett GTX3071

Rear Exhaust housing: .83 divided

When does vehicle begin boost: 0.5bar @ 3000rpm

When does vehicle reach full boost and what PSI: 1.85bar @ ~4200rpm

Does the vehicle have Cams? Yes

What brand: Tomei Poncam, Drop-in Cams (did have BC 272 cams, car was a nugget)

What lift/duration etc: 256 / 11.5mm

Max power achieve at what boost: 351kW @ 1.85bar

 

I have full logs if anyone wants, turbo setup was capable of making more power.. but I stopped dialing in boost because the owner of the car said that's more than enough power.

Tuned by MRC - Turbo had a bit more left in it on E85 but was running out of fuel. Graph below

FYP.. I've seen horrific tunes out of said shop..

 

There are other very reputable shops especially one that's speciality are GTR's that absolutely butchered my tune.

 

I've only heard good things about unigroup, but at the end of the day everyone has an opinion.

 

My opinion is all workshops are the same they always dick you around

true, then again that's why I do all my own tuning and for all my mates :)

Blue S15 has:

  • stock motor
  • stock exhaust manifold, stock ADM turbo
  • stock head, stock cams
  • stock coil packs with plugs at 0.7mm
  • HKS EVC EBC
  • Haltech Platinum Pro & Auxiliary Loom + Intake temp sensor, Flex Fuel sensor, AEM UEGO wideband (hooked up for engine protection)
  • Deatschwerks DW300 (version 1), OEM fuel relief valve deleted and FPCM bypass
  • 740cc Nismo injectors
  • Turbosmart FPR1200 at 3.5bar base
  • Garrett 12psi actuator
  • GReddy off the shelf FMIC
  • XForce turbo back with a shitty XForce cat

Would have been able to make a few more kWs if it didn't have that shitty cat in the car.. I hate XForce cats.

18psi but it bleeds down to about 12psi up top.

 

Turbo is completely out of puff.

 

Low gap so no misfires as it's on stock coils. More of a precaution :)

Rear Exhaust housing: not sure of spec

When does vehicle begin boost: low 2K

When does vehicle reach full boost and what PSI: around 3.5K

Does the vehicle have Cams? yes

What brand: poncams

What lift/duration etc: 11.5/256

Max power achieve at what boost: 225rwkw @ 20psi on E85

Make and model: 98' S14 series 2 200sx

Size of engine: SR20DET 2045cc (ish... 87mm bore, stock stroke)

Modifications to the car:

Haltech Elite 1500 ecu with Wideband control, Wiring Specialties Loom, Forged bottom end; pistons and h beam rods with ACL bearings, stock balanced crank, ARP main and headstuds, mildly ported head with titanium retainers, thick springs etc, 455lph auxiliary pump with surge tank, Bosch 2kcc injectors in Mazworx rail. Flex fuel setup. Sinco Customs custom split pulse, twin gate high mount manifold. 2 Turbosmart Hypergate 40mm gates. All the supporting mods like exhaust, front mount, radiator, custom PWR oil cooler setup, genuine Greddy Oil Pan, etc etc...

 

Type of turbo: Garret GTX2971r 90 trim with the trimmed down "T2" 56.5mm turbine wheel. (Yes, 29-71r, that's not a typo...)

Trim of turbo: 90 trim

Rear Exhaust housing: ATP Turbo T3 twin scroll in .82 AR

 

When does vehicle begin boost: 2500 ish upwards

When does vehicle reach full boost and what PSI: 14psi @ 4200

 

Does the vehicle have Cams?: Yup!

What brand: Tomei

 

What lift/duration etc: 260/260 12mm lift

 

Max power achieve at what boost: 288rwkw @ 17PSI on 98 octane.

It's been turned down to 14 for the first few oil changes...

It's yet to have its flex tune, but I'm expecting good things on full E85 and 24psi.

What lift/duration etc: Supertech Springs

Max power achieve At what boost: 272kW @ 1.6bar, tapering down to 1.5bar (weak actuator)

What lift/duration etc: Stock

Max power achieve At what boost: 215kW @ 1.3bar, bleeds down to 1bar up top thus won't make anymore power.

Notes: Full Flex tune, runs any fuel. Car fries tyres hard due to the massive surge in torque!

Type of turbo: GT2860R 0.64 on Linglong stainless manifold which I believe is attributing to lag

When does vehicle reach full boost and what PSI: 4100rpm for 1bar a bit more for 1.3bar (lazy 7psi gate)

Does the vehicle have Cams? Stock

What lift/duration etc: Stock

Max power achieve At what boost: 209kW @ 1.3bar, bleeds down to 1bar up top thus won't make anymore power.

Notes: Good fun, made it super rich and low with timing because it's a drift pig

What's the response like mate? How does it drive? Could you post up the dyno? I would be keen to see.

 

I might consider this turbo on e85 because you could probably crack 260rwkw without even having to install cams or springs saving a hell of a lot of time and money.
