hey ppl, just need help on identifying which car this t28 i bought came off.

ive checked this out ---> http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...icle&id=235

ive got the part number off the turbo which is: 1k 0114j

14411-69f00

466541-1

anyways says that it's either off a s14 (pre-facelift) or a s15 (early*) automatic model

so which one is it off?, what does it mean by pre-facelift? and also does it really matter if it's off the s15 that it's an automatic model (shouldn't really huh?)

ive added pics too, to make it easier

thanks guys

Pre facelift is an s14 94-96 model before the s14a came out. S14 and S15 has the same roller bearing turbo, only jap spec s15s have the ball bearing.

I have a t28 for sale if anyones interested

I have hurd a thing about identifying if its s14 or s15.

On the cold side casting, the last numbers on it (eg: 1-1 or 1-2) tells what its off. 1-1 is s14 and 1-2 is s15.

But thats just hearsay, dont know if its true.

Also the JDM s14 had ball bearing T28 not just the s15.

Wrong, well at least with my bush bearing t28 and someone elses BB t28 which both had 1-2 casted on them.

EDIT: sorry thought u said that 1-1 or 1-2 tells if its BB or not. Thats wrong. But maybe it tells if its s14 or s15..

And yes Jap s14 have BB and jap s15 have BB, not just jap s15..

and in answer to the Original starters question, its either off a jdm s14 or jdm s15.... I dont know if you can tell by the part numbers if its from a s14 or s15 jap... but it probably doesn't matter...

That Garrett part number (466541-1) is the same as the GT2560R which is the Garrett name for a T28BB.

Here's a link to the Garrett page for the GT2560R;

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...0R_466541_1.htm

So i don't know whether its from a S14 or a S15 but it's a Ball Bearing Turbo.

The Nissan part number (14411-69f00) will tell more about what the turbo came from.

$600 with No play in it at all. No Snouts though.

Yeah, Im saying that i was told if it say 1-1 its S14 and 1-2 is S15

What I mean about the Number is stamped in to the casting where is say "A/R60 M24 1-1" or 1-2

Marked in red in the pic
