Very nice. So what are the specs of the 260Z 2+2? Looks like an oem restoration, or super-clean original.

Completely oem, been in the care of a little old lady for 30+ years hiding out on a farm. Its an auto with the 240's SU's, 43,000km on the clock, original interior, even has oem mudflaps *shudders*

Original leather tool kit and its purchase manual.

A little rust like all early Zeds but nothing i cant fix.

Manual conversion coming up. Later on will rip the L for a 1j.

It has a little rust like all early Zeds are known for but nothing i cant fix. It'll stay auto until the sil is complete then ill be ripping out the L26 for an rb or 2j, havent decided.

daily Z has become a project sooner than anticipated so i had to get into gear repairing some damage Ichigo sustained to return it to temp daily duties.

 

It got hit by an r33, of which it wrote off.

Wheel poke saved Ichigo from any major damage, front left fibreglass quarter and bolt on got a little damage, lh door got punched in and rear quarter got a love tap, ah drift life.

 

Got home from month away, punched out the quarter damage, pulled the bolt ons off fitted some origin 30mm overfenders.

Kouki conversion guards, vertex 14 bar rocked up.

Had dinner with some mates, headlights from Osaka and smoked tails from America rocked up at the same time.

My mate felt compelled to bomb my pics -.-

Got in a flex pipe and new exhaust, found another 180 to chill with.

QR that night- sil80 snapped an oil feed line and caught fire pulling into the pits... that was fun.

Ended up leaving 0130, after racing home and grabbing a braided line i had been saving for the high mount set up.

 

Got it home but turbo gave out the next day unfortunately.

 

Friend sold me a t28 to get by until all the high mount bits arrived.

This got hectic.

 

Melted rings to the bore running a high comp block.

 

 

May of forgotten some things.. rebuilt sr20det, forward facing plenum, flipped to high mount set up welded with external gate 38mm screamer.

 

Rewired loom, sent head off for work.

 

Power fc, siemens 845ccs, Hks adj cams, rocker stoppers.

 

s15 t28bb with 180 head and s14 vct block.

Blocked s14 oil feed, drilled out VCT feed making 180 head chain tensioner into oil feed.

 

Sprayed bay silver,abs delete, gktech brake lines, solid gbox mount, alloy rad.

 

Carbon fibre centre console, HIC rear roof wing, HIC window weather shields, 180sx rear quarter louvers.

 

bash bar, aero mirrors, bonnet and vented scoop got paint.

 

Sold RB's, swapped my 2x 260z's for a clean r32 daily and an rb 26/30.

 

Pretty full on modding and maintaining both.

 

Traded r32 for the trainwreck s13 with all the mods.

Done a det conversion.

Picked up some 15x8 +0 shakotans and 16x9 +10 bb5's for trashing

 

Am still hunting for something to suit the sil80.

Suggestions suchs as mk-2's, sp1's and XT7's have been mentioned.. unsure yet.

 

 

 

Huge chunk of build info I am going to leave out as im on a mobile and it involves the Zed.

 

Ichigo is undergoing run in.

Feels smooth for now, until it clocks 1000+ kms, am holding breath.

 

Tune with STZ in a few weeks, fingers crossed it makes it.

Nice work! You certainly have been busy.

 

Don't worry, not going to ask for details on your louvers; I'd just mold my own out of fibreglass if I were going down that route.

Stock rebuild.

x3 recap

1st replacement sr cyc4 had 30psi.

2nd was only block. Was a rebuilt high comp block, faulty wastegate, and overshaving of block surface, boost spiked melted the rings to the bore at qr drove it home on 3 cyc and a few smashed valves.

3rd attempt- bought friends supposed 'sealed' s14 motor, rebuilt the stock internals and mated to rebuilt 180 head. (: 580kms, spun a bearing. Crank had been unknowingly reground on one cyc f**king up clearance.)

That sucks mate, I know the feeling, I bought a 180sx with "a blown t25" which turned out to be a dropped no#1 piston.

Had a new s14 vct sr sitting there.. then flagged, decided to go JZ.

Back on track.

 

Reverting to 180 front this time, sr>jz loom underway, guards are in at Low.co for custom flaring, respray as well as new rear bar.

Oem aero mirrors, new sr lip, 326 power wing being repaired at kmakaero.

Finishing off engine refresh, tailshaft, gbox interior strip, rear seat delete, projector headlights, fender braces, etc.

JZ is a 90xxx good cond aristo heart ive single turbo converted, running precision turbo 35-40 equiv.

Mounts were fabbed by the genius that is Danny T.

Rewelding rad support, hack out battery tray, shim diff and a few other misc things. TBC.

I wrote up a fairly detailed blurb with pics in order then went to post, it jumbled and deleted everything -_-

Rained a tonne the other night so got out some spray cans and kept busy.

Finished the last of the bay prep, rust converted and resprayed boot due to batt acid spill (so gay), cleaned up some wiring,pulled out climate control crap, immobiliser, ebc, dash installed some gauges, bashed out the tunnel, finally got in the new release and spiggott bearings,slave cyc shaft, and some hard to get gearbox retaining ball.

 

Bought a nice dash with 4>6cyc converter pre-installed, once box is on, intercooler and rad will go in, p/s hooked up, fuel lines and a few other misc bits and its off to have its stripped and converted harness installed. ^_^

Then back for a dump pipe and screamer and it should be time to turn the key. :)

Installed the jz loom over the weekend ripped out airbox garbage, made a CBF hole, threw on the aero, bought skidders, and stripped the rear for seat delete, am 300 yen richer.

Constructive weekend, all that remains are a few lines, dump and EBC. So close!

pretty much just a replica of my sd thread but whatevers.

Here's the latest.

 

Black projectors are in and both smoked front and side indicators showed up. Louvers are off getting molds.

Dump and screamer are done, rest of the day was spent with water and vac hoses, block-offs, other misc bits and helping paint the bfs missile 32.

Fuel lines, batt relo, fmic and thermos left to go.

Leaving arches with the intent to tub after tax.

Cannot wait to hear this thing turn over. smile.png
